Step-By-Step Instructions

Once you have printed out the template, cut out the template pieces, and gathered your supplies, we can start making the flower! This begins at step 4 from the instructions PDF.

Step 4: Cut fringe from yellow paper using template piece 1

Step 5: Glue fringe to stem wire

Step 6: Cut petals using template pieces

Step 7: Stretch and shape petals

Step 8: Glue petals

Petals are laid out in the order that they will be attached from bottom to top. Put glue on the bottom 1-2 cm of the petal and attach it around the centre of the flower.

After the first round of petals is attached.

Second round of petals.

Third round of petals.

Fourth round of petals.

After all petals are attached.

Step 9: Cut sepals, leaves, and stem covering strips

Step 10: Glue sepals to the base of the flower

Step 11: Cover the stem and attach leaves

Stretch the end of a stem covering strip, apply glue and attach it to the base of the flower angled downwards.

After wrapping the stem covering around the stem for some distance, glue the leaves on.

Continue wrapping so that the strip of paper covers the place where the leaves are attached.

Step 12: Open up the petals
